You are cordially invited to register for the forthcoming first Intergenerational Model United Nations (IMUN), an inspiring event hosted at Academy Mapleton Hill (AMH) and organized by the United Nations Association of Boulder County (UNA-BC). This unique gathering will unite high school students with Model UN experience, UNA-BC members, and Academy residents to address the future of Syria through an intergenerational dialogue and simulated meeting of the UN Security Council on Syria.

International Human Rights Awards Recipient Celebration

Since 1996, the United Nations Association of Boulder County has celebrated local heroes who breathe life into the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This landmark 1948 document enshrines fundamental rights like life, liberty, education, and a decent standard of living.

This years recipient of the IHRA is Micklina Kenyi, Executive Director of Girls with Books. Come join us to celebrate Micklinas extraordinary contributions to girls' and women's empowerment in South Sudan. Micklina's dedication to providing access to quality education and promoting leadership skills has transformed the lives of countless young women. Her work embodies the spirit of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, promoting equality, education, and peace.

Boulder Peace Faire

Working in collaboration as part of Boulder Peace Week, Boulder Rotary, The City of Boulder as well as Naropa University have sponsored a week full of community events! Discussion panels, peace making workshops, key note speakers, crafts, music, and fun activities are being hosted all week long throughout the greater Boulder area. All events are free, though some discussion panels require an RSVP.
